This article is not related to the Toronto Blue Jays in any way, however it is very much related to the game of baseball and I wanted to share it with my readers.
While browsing the internet perusing for baseball knowledge that I frequently do on a daily basis, I came across the following website: http://www.thecompletepitcher.com
The website features a very interesting read titled “Pitching Grips – How to Grip and Throw Different Baseball Pitches: written by former Chicago Cubs farm hand Steven Ellis.
The article can be read via this direct link:

For those of my readers not familiar with Ellis, Ellis was drafted in the 12th round (360 overall) in the 2000 Major League Baseball Entry Draft by the Oakland Athletics, but did not sign.
Ellis was drafted again in the 2001 MLB Entry Draft in the 18th round (528 overall).
In the minor leagues, Ellis compiled 120 strikeouts in 88 innings of work as a closing pitcher.
Ellis had 22 saves and a 3.17 ERA before a shoulder injury ended his career.
Since the end of his pitching career, Ellis has published four books on pitching, including the “TUFFCUFF Strength and Conditioning Manual for Baseball Pitchers.”
If you have ever wondered how to throw anything from a four seam fastball to a slider to a split finger fastball, Ellis breaks down the entire process.
Everything from finger positioning to grip strength and more.
The article includes very descriptive processes as well as instructional pictures to help anyone learn how to throw the pitches.
Obviously, the pitch you are aiming to learn needs practice and development, but take it from me that this is a good start for all of you readers out there interested in learning a new pitch or who want to teach them to a wannabe pitcher who may blossom into such down the road.
I hope everyone enjoys the read as much as I did.
