I’ll admit it: they hooked me again. The Jays started off with a blistering April, overcoming key injuries with outstanding performances by youngsters filling in big shoes, scoring runs at a league-leading pace, and shooting to the top of the AL. Even after sliding in May, I thought the Jays had the pieces for a nice summer run after sweeping the Phillies in Pennsylvania and taking two of three from the Reds.
